Mail in Ballot Deadlines

Mail-in Voting

If you have Maryland Driver’s License, ID, or Learner’s Permit, the following is recommended

  • Visit the State of Maryland Board of Elections Voter Registration and Mail-in Ballot Request web page or text VBM to 77788.
    • You must provide your complete information so we can verify your voter registration before issuing you a ballot
  • In Step 9, of the “Mail-in Ballot Request” on-line application, select “I would like to receive a mail-in ballot.”
  • Under delivery type, make your selection:
  • By mail:
    • We will send your mail-in ballot to your home address or to a mailing address you provide.
    • We will include a return envelope with prepaid postage.
    • You can return your completed mail-in ballot through USPS or by depositing it in any official mail-in ballot drop boxes.
  • Internet Delivery (also called print-at-home or web delivery) mail-in ballot is sent by a link in an email. Please note:
    • You will need to create an online username and password to access and download your ballot materials.
    • You will need to print out your ballot and oath, and provide your own return envelope.
    • You will need to return your voted ballot and signed oath by mail (requires postage), ballot drop box, or in person – You cannot return your voted ballot online, by email, or fax.
    • Election workers will duplicate your voting choices onto ballot materials that are scannable.
